Quality Control Inspector

Status: Hourly – Based on experience

Shift: 1st Shirt, typically 7 AM - 3 PM, hours will vary as dictated by production, vacation or other scheduling conflicts.

Workweek: Monday thru Friday. Mandatory overtime and weekend work required. as needed


  • Must have quality control experience in a machining and fabrication environment. 
  • Must be able to accurately read blue prints and comprehend standard operating procedures.
  • Must have above average math skills to add and subtract whole numbers and fractions.
  • Must be able to measure using caliper, micrometer, tape measure and various hand tools.
  • Must possess good written and verbal communication, problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Word and Excel.
  • Capable of regular lifting randomly sized items up to 60 pounds.
  • Must be capable of performing multi-tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Must be reliable with a strong work ethic, positive attitude and morale.
  • Must be highly motivated, engaged with company objectives and strong sense of personal responsibility and accountability.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.


  • Responsible for performing quality control functions for the company.  
  • Read blueprints, data, manuals or other materials to determine specifications, inspections and testing procedures or measuring instruments required.
  • Perform dimensional and visual inspections of incoming materials, in-process and finished parts and equipment.
  • Inspect and measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications using measuring instruments including calipers, gauges, micrometers, rulers and etc.
  • Review outsourced parts for print conformity and quality.
  • Ensure inspection reports are completed and maintain records.
  • Initiate discrepancy and corrective action reports as required.
  • Communicate quality control information to all relevant organizational departments, outside vendors and customers.
  • Work effectively with production managers to ensure quality production and product deadlines.
  • Assist with improving quality program documentation and procedures.
  • Efficiently and effectively perform all work tasks ensuring the highest level of employee safety, product quality and team work.
  • Adhere to all Company policies, procedures, and work rules.
  • Maintain good performance, behavior, communication, attitude, morale and attendance.
