Outside Sales Representative - B2B Equipment Supplier

Selling to Suppliers, End-Users, & OEMs in (and beyond) the Dairy, Food, & Beverage Industries

Status: Based on experience
Shift: 8am-4pm, hours vary as dictated by production, vacation, or other scheduling conflicts
Workweek: Monday thru Friday. Mandatory overtime and weekend work required

Sell systems, equipment, components, parts, and services. Koss Industrial, Inc. offers quality solutions: from new plants, expansions, and large projects; to cutting, machining, or fabricating parts. Play an integral role in providing creative, innovative solutions. Promote Koss Industrial's products & services to prospects, selling to cheese makers and many other clients throughout the Food, Dairy, and Sanitary Industries.


  • 3+ years of experience selling applicable products and services  (required)
  • Knowledge of (and experience with) products and services offered by Koss Industrial
  • Understanding of food, dairy, and other sanitary industry manufacturing processes
  • Ability to interact with customers in a positive and professional manner
  • Capable of functioning efficiently, working both individually and as part of a team
  • Effective planning and time management skills
  • Experience managing multiple projects, timelines and due dates  (required)
  • Strong communication, problem solving, and organizational skills  (required)
  • Basic computer knowledge, proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel  (required)
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record  (required)


  • Travel daily, making sales calls to current and prospective customers
  • Prospect and cold-call (adhering to guidelines)
  • Prepare & Deliver sales presentations on Koss Industrial’s broad portfolio of products & services
  • Promptly handle product and service inquires, providing necessary information and pricing
  • Submit orders by referring to established price lists and work with estimation personnel to provide quotes
  • Follow up on quotes and orders, ensure excellent customer service
  • Work directly with other departments, vendors, and customers throughout each sale and project
  • Coordinate delivery and installation of products and provision of services
  • Drive profitability and revenue within assigned accounts
  • Prepare action plans and schedules; identify specific targets and project numbers of contacts to be made
  • Plan and maintain a personal sales strategy; maximize the return on time invested in accounts
  • Build & Maintain quality, professional customer contact (communicate by phone, electronically, and face-to-face)
  • Maintain technical knowledge and familiarity with Koss Industrial’s broad portfolio of products & services
  • Continually develop knowledge necessary to best serve customers; including an understanding of plant operations, client business objectives, applicable regulations/standards, and other aspects directly affecting clientele
